We’re Open for Your Business

If you’re considering opening a new business or relocating an existing business in a Landmark Towns of Bucks County, we’re ready to help you through the process. We can provide you with the guidance and information you need to be successful in one of our great downtown locations.

Where to Start?

Businesses that locate in the Landmark Towns of Bucks County designated downtown district have a multitude of resources available to them. This publication by the Bucks County Planning Commission outlines the basics about funding your business and the resources and organizations that have access to those resources in a succinct format. It’s a good place to begin your quest for relevant information.

Programs for Specific Needs

Depending on what type of business you are opening, the resources will vary. If you are looking to open a manufacturing or other large employer, you want to connect directly to both the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks and the Bucks County Economic Development Corporation.  The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has numerous resources available to small business owners that can most easily be accessed through these two County-level organizations. Microloans are available through the Women’s Opportunities Resource Center.

Some programs are geographically specific and can only be used in specific communities that are eligible. Bristol and Morrisville both have Enterprise Zones that offer specific incentives that require that designation. On the other hand, New Hope qualifies for a number of USDA Rural Development business programs that are worth exploring.

Local Business Assistance

Each Landmark Town has a local business association and/or Chamber that offers local networking opportunities, joint marketing efforts, support for local charities, and local websites and directories. Start by contacting the local organization that represents your business location. Keep in mind that there are many regional Chambers, professional organizations and other larger networking groups. Our recommendation is that you start by meeting your new local neighbors. They are the people who will walk through your doors to welcome you first.
