Support Groups

Each year, the borough councils of the participating municipalities appoints or re-appoints  up to four representatives to the Landmark Towns Steering Committee. Several regional organizations support the Landmark Towns as ex officio members to the Steering Committee. These supporting groups include the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Visit Bucks County, DCNR, East Coast Greenways, PA Environmental Council (PEC) and the Landmark Towns Coordinator who is also a D&L staff member.

This group of volunteers creates an annual work plan and meets monthly to assure that goals are being met. They volunteer at events, oversee projects and help to coordinate the efforts of the Landmark Towns program with the revitalization efforts of their respective communities. They find common ground between their towns and look to maximize the impact of the Delaware Canal Section of the D&L Trail in connecting the participating communities.
